- The only ensemble of its kind in the region, the eight-voice group STELLARUM passionately pursues a mission to bring diverse programs of choral music to audiences across the Southeast. Singing mostly unaccompanied works from a rich legacy of centuries of repertoire, STELLARUM performs without a conductor with each member contributing to the choice of pieces and the rehearsal process. STELLARUM‘s members are all professional church musicians with a range of other experiences, including performance, conducting, composition, and teaching in secondary and higher education.
- Emphasizing the uniquely human, unifying nature of choral singing, and the mission to share the choral art with as many audiences as possible, STELLARUM’s motto since the beginning has been eight voices, one heart.
